  The last NAMM was significant for Gibsons and their HD.6X-PRO Guitar (which I hopefully get to review later this year) and KS-336 "Jack Bauer" Signature but it's Boss who dominated this year's music show when they announced the replacement for the ultimate machine and the most popular multi-effect unit ever - Boss GT8.

  Now every guitarist knows that Boss GT units always have had wonderful sound (you know, for a digital processor) but I think this goes even further. I'm not sure with the EZ Tone wizard, I like to turn all the knobs myself but new USB connector definitely is a plus - many people didn't buy GT8 just because it's lack of USB Output. Other new features are parallel effects chain, phrase loop. It has innovated two COSMs and the latest DSP as well. So why not to buy it? Well if I go for multi-effect, this is gonna be it. The starting price is just about $50 above the old GT8 (which means $499 for the GT10) however we can expect some discount for the old model.

  I hope it was worth reading - it definitely was worth mentioning, it's the new flagship and hopefully the new king of multi-effect guitar processors. If I'll be getting one you'll definitely know every detail :)

 

  This 40 year old actor, mostly known as Jack Bauer from '24' TV Series, describes himself as a guitarist who "plays just for the joy of it, for the pleasure". He started playing at the age of 12 and started collecting guitars at 18 when he met Jude Cole who actually recorded his album at Kiefer's studio later on. As he says, Ironworks studio has good relations with Gibson and I believe it - he mentioned that he has about 60 Gibsons so they must be really happy to have him :o)

    Kiefer Sutherland's Custom is based on Gibson Custom Shop CS-336, has nice aged goldtop (called "Kiefer gold"), Ebony fretboard with Super400 inlays and Gibson '57 Classic Plus pickups. Top's carved maple, sides and back is Mahogany. Definitely a good combination.

  After very quick but careful consideration I have decided to discontinue using my MySpace account and start using this Live Space. Yes, I never really used MySpace either so there won't most propably be any confusion but my Czech Blog (http://www.binduch.net) is starting to fill (even with those super-old promised posts) so I needed it's english counterpart. I don't really know how this Live thing works so let's hope I figure it out fast before I stop posting once again :)
